Photometry of Lamps, LEDs & Luminaires
Photometric Testing provides a comprehensive laboratory service for testing the amount, colour, quality and spatial distribution of light emitted from lamps, LEDs and luminaires. We provide standard photometric data files in IES (.ies) and EULUMDAT (.ldt) formats per IES LM 79-08 and BS EN 13032. We can also report luminous flux (lumens), unified glare ratio (UGR), scotopic lumens and S:P ratio, chromaticity, CCT, colour rendering, luminous efficacy (wall plug efficiency) and power factor.
Photometric Testing has invested significant sums in equipping our laboratory with the very latest, state-of-the-art equipment. Our laboratory services rely upon two main pieces of measurement equipment, our integrating spheres and our goniophotometers. Our integrating spheres are configured as spectroradiometers to accurately measure luminous flux (lumens) as well as the colour temperature and colour rendering of the light source under test. Our goniophotometers provide both near-field (luminance) and far-field (luminous intensity) data and are used for generating standard photometric data in the popular .ies and .ldt (EULUMDAT) formats for use with lighting design softfware such as RELUX, DIALUX and Lighting Reality. We are one of the few laboratories capable of measuring colour temperature and colour rendering as a function of angle.
